Windcliff Estates is Estes Park’s premier, private, luxury, single-entrance, 240 acre residential neighborhood located on the sunny side of Ram's Horn Mountain adjacent to Rocky Mountain National Park and the Roosevelt National Forest. Windcliff Estates has over 100 acres of open green space and 38 select homes available for your vacation rental through the onsite management of Windcliff Properties Inc. Every home in Windcliff offers unsurpassed views of Rocky Mountain National Park and the Continental Divide and homes in Windcliff frequently sell for over a million dollars.

What is Windcliff Properties?

We are the on-site, professional management company providing the vacation rental program for Windcliff Estates. We have a continuous history of vacation rentals and property management going back to the early 1970's. Our on-site office, which we refer to as the Gatehouse, is at the entrance to Windcliff allowing us to personally ensure that your vacation in Windcliff is trouble free and surpasses your expectations. If you encounter a problem or emergency after hours you can always reach 24 hours a day.

Spectacular Panoramic Views and Quiet, Secluded Setting

From our 240-acre neighborhood you will enjoy commanding panoramic views into Rocky Mountain National Park and the Continental Divide. You will appreciate the quiet and secluded setting away from the noise and traffic of Estes Park, yet still easily accessible to the Town and Rocky Mountain National Park. We have many world travelers who tell us that our views are the very best they have ever seen. This awe-inspiring beauty is available from every home due to the nature of our location. Windcliff is bordered on the South by a private boundary with Rocky Mountain National Park and on the East by the Roosevelt National Forest. Within our boundaries we enjoy over a hundred acres of permanent greenspace. Our guests love to walk on our 5 miles of private mountain roads and hike into the Park or National Forest from their vacation rental.

Easy Access to Town, Park, YMCA

We are not within walking distance of downtown, and do not want to be. When you are in your Windcliff home you will hear the wind blowing through the trees, not the sound of traffic. However, downtown Estes Park is only a few mile drive from your vacation home and not a single traffic light separates you from Windcliff Estates and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. We think this is the best of both worlds. We are located only ½ mile from the YMCA of the Rockies, which offers a huge array of activities for all ages including children, teens and adults. The "Y" has a great day camp program for your children that prefer to hang out with their peers and not tag along after Mom and Dad every day of their vacation.

Great Wildlife

Because we are bordered by Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest and do not have through traffic, wildlife at Windcliff abounds. Depending on the season and your luck, you may see elk, deer, , fox, ground squirrels, rabbits and chipmunks, falcons, hawks, many varieties of songbirds, and other mountain creatures too numerous to name.

Private Residential Neighborhood Providing Tranquility

Windcliff is a residential neighborhood providing tranquility to our guests. We value the peace and quiet of our rural setting and look for vacation rental guests with the same values. We do not have meeting facilities, playgrounds, food services, etc. However, these facilities are located nearby, including the YMCA of the Rockies.

On-Site Vacation Rental Program

Our vacation rental philosophy is different from most. You will not find lockboxes at Windcliff. You will check in and be greeted by our on-site, professional team at the Gatehouse, a charming log cabin at the entrance to Windcliff Estates. We love to greet our many returning guests every year and get to know them and their families. Each year over 40% of our guests are returning after previously renting a home in Windcliff and we look forward to welcoming our returning guests back to Windcliff.

We want to get to know you too and are always ready to assist you in making your Estes Park vacation a success. If you encounter a problem or emergency after hours you can always reach us by 24 hours a day. The owner of Windcliff Properties has lived in the neighborhood for 20 years and used to be a vacation rental guest just like you.

Our vacation rental homes range from 2 bedroom condominium homes to large 5 bedroom vacation homes in a range of price points. All of our vacation homes are fully equipped and are second homes for their owners. Our guests tell us that staying in Windcliff makes them feel like they are staying in their personal mountain vacation home. All of our homes are individually furnished and equipped and all meet our strict standards to be included in the Windcliff rental program.

Year-round Vacation Destination

Many people regard Rocky Mountain National Park as a summer destination only. However, guests that come in the spring, fall and winter seasons know that these seasons have unique charms and often consider these to be the best times to visit Rocky Mountain National Park. Windcliff is also open all year and offers substantial discounts in our Fall, Special and Value Seasons. Most shops and restaurants are open all year long as well. Winter activities in Rocky Mountain National Park include snowshoeing, sledding, cross country skiing and even hiking. The peace and quiet of a winter hiking trail with snow-capped vistas all around has to be experienced to be believed! The waterfalls of the spring and summer and the changing of the leaves in the fall are certain to leave you breathless.
